Scriptorium
The Bible one click away, even without a connection.
Why Scriptorium?
When a page refuses to open for lack of a connection, the browser only shows an error page. Scriptorium replaces it with an invitation to open the Bible, which the extension carries with it and which you can read without any internet access.
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, And light unto my path.
Psalm 119:105
Scriptorium is free, with no ads, no account to create and no tracking.

The offline page
When a page cannot load because of an internet access problem (network down, site not found, timeout, failing proxy), Scriptorium replaces the browser’s error with a page that invites you to spend a few minutes in the Bible, with a button to try again and another to go back to the previous page. Local sites and security errors are never touched. This feature can be turned off in Settings.

Privacy
No data is collected or transmitted: no account, no analytics, no remote code. The Bibles are
read from your device, your notes and comments stay there, and the clipboard is never read.
The extension asks for only two permissions: storage, to save your preferences,
your reading position and your notes, and webNavigation, to detect that a page
failed to load. The details are in the
privacy policy.
